At Glenelg Lacrosse Club, we are more than just a team —we’re a community

Located in the heart of West Beach, South Australia, our club is built on a proud tradition of excellence in lacrosse, paired with a vibrant, family-friendly culture that welcomes everyone.

With a history spanning decades, we are passionate about developing players of all ages and skill levels, from beginners to seasoned athletes.

Whether you’re looking to pick up a stick for the first time or take your game to the next level, Glenelg Lacrosse Club (GLC) offers the coaching, facilities, and support to help you achieve your goals and have some fun along the way.

Why is lacrosse a great sport for kids?

  • Lacrosse is a team sport played with a lacrosse "stick" and a lacrosse ball.

  • Kids don’t need to be built in a specific way to become a talented lacrosse player. While many sports create advantages for taller or heavier built players, lacrosse is for anyone who can hold a stick. It’s also easy to learn, which helps get people involved as young as 6 years old.

  • Lacrosse is action packed and high scoring. By design there’s no standing around, which makes it fun to play and watch.

  • Lacrosse is also very affordable with low fees and all new junior players* (U13 and below) receive a brand new playing stick for FREE on payment of their registration fees.

  • Lacrosse is one of the fastest growing sports in the world and will feature in the Olympics in 2028.

  • If you're looking for a welcoming, inclusive, supportive, family friendly and rapidly growing club to give Lacrosse a try, you've come to the right place! There's opportunities for men, women, boys and girls of all ages.

  • Lacrosse is a winter sport and is generally played on Saturdays.

  • Our ‘come and try’ events usually are run every Thursday night during March each year.
